Abstract

The article examines the features of legal regulation of electronic contracts and smart contracts in national and international law. A comparative analysis of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, and the United States is conducted. The key differences between electronic contracts and smart contracts are identified, including issues of form, execution, and jurisdiction. It is established that electronic contracts have received clear legal recognition, while smart contracts remain in a zone of legal uncertainty. The gaps in the legislation of Uzbekistan are noted, and possible solutions for their elimination are proposed.
